Telescreens, Why the Lights Flicker, pushes their ethos further than ever. Recorded at The Bridge in Williamsburg, Brooklyn during summer 2024, the album explores spiritual disconnection in a hyper-capitalist world & the search for clarity in chaos. “The goal of this record was to capture the energy of the four of us playing live, we rehearsed every day for 6 months and recorded all together in a room for two straight weeks. Capture the lightning, immortalize it, at all costs – that was the goal,” says frontman Jackson Hamm.

Sonically, the album features heavy guitar anthems, cathartic choruses that strike like revelation, and ballads that bleed like truth. Telescreens craft a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward-facing, leaning into the raw power of classic rock while effortlessly embodying a modern vitality. Their single “Nothing” is a perfect example of their vision, juxtaposing lyrics that suffer with apathy against massive guitar riffs and pounding drums which reveal a desperation for something more. Their 2024 LP 7, solidified them as a band whose whole is far greater than the sum of its parts.
