Between 1999 and 2015 he worked as \u003cstrong\u003eCyclobe\u003c\/strong\u003e, a duo formed with his partner \u003cstrong\u003eOssian Brown\u003c\/strong\u003e (also a former \u003cstrong\u003eCoil\u003c\/strong\u003e member). \u003cstrong\u003eCyclobe\u003c\/strong\u003e released four albums – \u003cstrong\u003eLuminous Darkness\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eThe Visitors\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eWounded Galaxies Tap At The Window\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eSulphur-Tarot-Garden\u003c\/strong\u003e – on their own record label \u003cstrong\u003ePhantomcode\u003c\/strong\u003e. They also contributed to a remix project by \u003cstrong\u003eNurse With Wound\u003c\/strong\u003e, resulting in the collaborative album \u003cstrong\u003eParaparaparallelogrammatica\u003c\/strong\u003e. Stephen currently performs with the group \u003cstrong\u003eUnicaZürn\u003c\/strong\u003e, whose five albums so far include two – \u003cstrong\u003eTranspandorem\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eSensudestricto\u003c\/strong\u003e – for the UK label \u003cstrong\u003eTouch\u003c\/strong\u003e. He also writes books on cult and exploitation cinema, including volumes on Italian director \u003cstrong\u003eLucio Fulci\u003c\/strong\u003e, Spanish eroticist \u003cstrong\u003eJess Franco\u003c\/strong\u003e, and a study of American grindhouse cinema (\u003cstrong\u003eNightmare USA\u003c\/strong\u003e).
